Notary Public Stamp / Seal Requirements:
Vermont law does not require the use of seals or embossers by notaries. This requirement was repealed in 1984 (No. 194, Adj. Sess., §2). For documents leaving the state you may need a seal, but within the state no seal is required.
Suggested Inclusion: Name of Notary, the words “Notary Public” and “State of Vermont” or "Vermont". The expiration date may also be included.
Ink color should be capable of being reproduced clearly by black / white scan, photocopy or other visible and legible means.
